an initial 3-day training program, which is later followed by a required fourth day of mentor training approximately nine
months later.

research-based mentoring process that focuses on developing a supportive mentoring relationship that effectively addresses
the needs of new school leaders.
Mentor Training Day #4 includes a debriefing of their mentoring experiences and activities that focus on preparing for the
Year 2 Residency, specifically the mentor's role in guiding Residents in their action research projects and development of
the State-required Professional Growth Plan for Year 3 of employment, and reviewing the Summative Assessment and criteria
for recommending standard principal certification.
All training sessions are held at the NJPSA training facility at 12 Centre Drive, Monroe Township, NJ. Training sessions
